Zenlixa Winter Beehive Wrap

Very well made and insulated. This hive wrap has multiple closures to make sure the hive wrap stays on. It has the straps with heavy plastic buckles on the outside and also has velcro on the inside portion of where the wrap closes. The velcro panel is fairly wide so it is adjustable for the outer dimension of the brood boxes. One of my hives is an odd size (homemade gift from family member) and tends to lose heat in the winter. This wrap is perfect as I could adjust it to fit the perimeter of the odd size hive. It would easily fit on the standard langstroth hives.

This beehive wrap is perfect for one deep and one medium Langstroth hive, which is a common setup in moderate winter temperature areas. The hive wrap is about 16” tall and fits well on a deep plus medium super beehive. The length is about 76 inches and it is long enough to wrap around a 10 frame hive. There are two wide velcro strips on the end, which makes it easy to adjust the wrap for an 8 frame hive if needed. There are two buckles with wide straps for securing the wrap. Overall, the hive wrap is well made and good quality. I think it will help keeping the bees warm during cold spells, which also helps with conserving their winter stores.

While the fit in my pictures looks a bit off, it is partly because I do not have enough heigh (missing my winter quilt box on this one) so it's a little squished. I do like that it has a huge Velcro allowing it to fit 8 or 10 frame hives, but as you can see still - it JUST fits on my 10 frames. Without straps I would like to see this overlap better. It's good enough, but I have gotten a lot of wraps and for the price this should have a more secure overlap.Otherwise it feels like a reasonably durable wrap, fairly light duty but plenty to keep the winter bite off my hives.

Well constructed.Adjustable for 8 or 10 frame Langstrom hives.It will need a minimum of two deep hive boxes and one medium hive box stacked together at one time to fit properly. Any less than that and the cover will be too tall.Easy for one person to install. Haven’t yet used it through a winter but seems like it will give our bees welcome protection from the cold.Good price.

This will be my first year overwintering bees, so hopefully this will help them survive. I think its very nice quality, so I would give it 5 stars based on that. The only thing that concerns me is that it says it fits over 2 deeps and a medium, which is good because i will use 2 deeps and a quilt box, but I am worried about it covering the vent holes, and the notch in my quilt box for cleansing flights.. Since Im still learning, I dont know if this will be an issue or not, and I probably wont know until after winter, but ventilation seems to be a key to survival.

Love this bee hive wrap. It was big enough to wrap my 2 floor (2 10-frame boxes) and really like the fact that it has the 3 strips to fasten it. The wrap is thick too. Will buy more.I bought 2 last year from another seller and it was a waste of money as they were too short and I couldn’t close them.

This sure beats my home made attempt to keep my bees warm.I got some thick black paper to wrap around the hive and found a piece of stiff foam to go on the top with a brick on it.It still blew off.The paper worked for a time, but eventually was destroyed by weather.We can have some harsh winters here.We tried to put the hive in a corner near two fences to provide some cover and it definitely helped but we still need to do more to protect them.Sometimes I get so busy in the fall with school starting, canning up all the garden and fruit trees and winterizing the yard that the beehive gets forgotten. I needed to make it a little easier to fit in during such a busy time.This is way more convenient than my paper option. Just wrap and go! I have a whole set of covers for my outdoor furniture, bbqs, fire pit etc. This will be easy to add to that chore and someone can just quickly put it on and finish the rest of the yard.Yippee!

This is our first time ordering a Hive Wrap for winter. We live in Oregon where it can get very cold--or not so much. We wanted to have it, just in case. The quality looks very nice. The fabric is sturdy but flexible. The stitching is good. It's super easy to wrap and take off. The adjustable straps add extra security to the velcro closure. It fits our hives perfectly.

While this is a functional beehive wrap, for the price I have had many much better. I would give this another start if it were under $20. For nearly $30, this JUST fits around my 10 frame hive and has no additional straps to hold in place. Further, the wrap is extremely thin.That being said - it is well made and feels sturdy enough it will do the job. I think the price is just not hitting the mark for the value.

Fits well and was easy to install. I’ve got it on one of my hives this winter as a test run, and so far it seems solid. The material feels durable and looks like it’ll handle the outdoor weather without any issues. Too early to judge long-term performance, but first impressions are definitely positive.

I got this wrap to check the quality and compare it with other hive wraps I already own. The height is perfect for two deep boxes and one medium super. It can also fit two deeps if you fold the top and bottom edges. I use it on 8-frame boxes, but the length will easily cover 10-frame hives as well.The Velcro on both ends is extra wide, making it easy for one person to install. Adjustable hook and loop straps provide a snug and secure fit, and there’s plenty of extra length. Mine came with one bent hook, but I was able to heat and fix it without affecting usability.The outer layer is made from durable 600D Oxford fabric, which is strong, water-resistant, and great for outdoor use. The inside has an aluminum foil layer that helps retain heat by reflecting it back into the hive. The manufacturer states there’s also a 3 mm cotton insulation layer.Overall, this is a solid hive wrap that performs well and feels just as good as the other premium ones I own.

This is a great wrap! I have reviewed and tested nearly a dozen of these and this is the first one that actually fit around my 10 frame hives with a good 6” of overlap at least, fully Velcro’d. This is also definitely one of the heaviest wraps I have tested.This is now my TOP PICK. Even over ones that have come with straps, etc. I have pictures this on two deeps and a medium, which fits about right and leaves enough room to still have room for the entrance to not get covered. I can’t stress how nice it is to have a 10 frame wrap that does more than just barely fit around. This thing is awesome.

Fit perfectly and the Velcro connector made it easy to put the cover on the hive. Quality was good.

Excellent quality materials are used in this hive wrap. The windproof and waterproof outer fabric is nice and strong. The inner foil lining ensures top notch insulation while covering the in-between layer of cotton. The very best part of this wrap, though, is it's adjustability. The velcro allows for the perfect fit, and then, the two buckle locks hold everything nice and tight once the straps are adjusted. Our bees are sure to survive the harshest cold snaps. And with the varying temps here in the South, we can easily remove the wrap as needed.

I'm pretty familiar with various bee hive insulation wraps. It seems a good value for the price, it's easy to use, and it matches the product description. It is good quality, and while I only had the option for the 79x18, it's still going to help over the cold Winters here. I'll update once it's on the beehive, as well as how it turns out once the frost ends next Spring.

I didn’t use this Winter Bee Hive Insulation Wrap for bees, but for wrapping my outdoor feral cat shelter—and it worked amazingly well! The material is somewhat thick, but waterproof and windproof, providing great thermal protection and keeping the shelter warm and dry through cold, wet weather. It almost didn't fit around the structure, but it stayed super secure even in strong winds, and didn’t trap too much moisture inside. I love that it’s reusable and seemingly durable enough to last for multiple seasons. Even though it’s designed for hives, it’s perfect for any crazy dog people that a homeless cat ended up choosing that's looking to insulate or weatherproof small outdoor shelters—creative and practical!

I'm a beekeeper and this is great, especially if you're trying to keep bees in a cold environment. It was easy to install and stayed on even with wind and rain. It functions well and after a stretch of rainy cold weather this past month, my bees were still doing well. It fits a little snug but I was still able to make it work, however a bigger size would be nice. Overall, nice quality, but it may not work for all hive types.

Kept my bees alive/warm during the winter storm Fern. We live in the deep South and got 4-6 inches of sleet. I have 3 hives. 2 with 20 frames and a smaller one with 7 frames. I put something on top of the lids of each for extra insulation since these only wrap the sides. It was easy to install and remove (by myself). I still wore my veil when installing, bc my girls can be opinionated and salty. For removal I did not wear my veil, but was very quick and did one at a time, walking away for a minute or two between each removal.The first photo is the day before the storm. The second is about an hour after it started. We had freezing or sub freezing temps for 10 days. It was abnormally cold for this area.

These winter bee wraps seem thick and well made, and the 600D Oxford cloth feels like it should hold up well through Michigan winters. The adjustable design makes it easy to fit around both 8-frame and 10-frame hives, and having enough wrap for two deep boxes with a medium box is convenient. I like that it provides an extra layer of protection from wind and cold without being overly complicated to install. A good option for helping keep hives protected during unpredictable winter weather.
